It depends on the complexity of the machine design and materials you want for it. Starting price is 380 euros (you can check conversion to your currency here). Prices increase slightly if you want the machine powdercoated, brass, copper, exotic materials…. range usually between 380-450 €. Please notice I make every part of my machines: I cut the plates with hand tools, MIG weld or silver braze them, make my own coil cores, wind my coils, turn my binding posts, make my contact screws, vise keys… this takes a lot of time and work so please don’t ask me for 100€ machines because every machine I make is unique, fully handmade with all the care and love I have for tattoo machine building.
Anything is possible. I mainly use iron, super solid and with excellent magnetic properties. I also use brass from time to time, aluminium, mokume, copper, damascus steel, methacrylate, meteorite, wood…. some materials are more expensive, some are cheaper… all depends on your preferences, some people like the plain look of iron, other prefer semi-precious or exotic materials.
Just contact me and we’ll chat about it. I have no problem answering any kind of question so don’t hesitate and feel free to ask. After we agree how the machine will be made, I’ll proceed to collect payment and you’ll be added to my waiting list. You can either pay the full price of the machine, or just a deposit (100€ minimum) and the rest when your machine is finished and ready to be shipped. Waiting time depends on how many requests I have at the moment, at times I have less work so I can start your machine earlier, other times i’m overbooked and you have to wait for longer. I’ll set an approximate starting date when I receive payment depending on that factor. Building a machine takes me a few days, and I always keep every client updated with the process (please check FAQ#5 for further information about waiting times).
I accept Paypal or bank transfer. The last option is not available to every country so please ask for availability if you prefer it.
Yes, you can cancel an order if you wish. If you cancel your order, I’ll keep the deposit, or, in case you paid the full price of your order, just the equivalent of a deposit. The reason for keeping the deposit is that when you place an order you are reserving a turn in my waiting list, and thus making other customers who place an order after you to wait for longer. My waiting list is a little long at times, and many customers who ask me for a machine decide they don’t want to wait that long and they don’t order anything in the end. If you place an order and then, after some time, decide you don’t want the machine/s you ordered, you are causing an unnecessary delay and possible losses, so please be sure, when you place an order, that you won’t change your mind before your turn arrives. Keeping deposits is a compensation for that trouble.
Building a handmade machine takes some time, I don’t fabricate any stock parts to use, just make every one with the exact size, weight and properties for every machine I build, one at a time. You are getting a fully customized machine, exactly as you like it, and that demands a lot of work and time. If you don’t want to wait for a few months to get it, it’s as easy as choosing another builder. Sorry, I (luckily) receive a lot of requests and I am usually flooded with work, so it’s necessary to wait for a while to get a machine from me. Thanks for understanding!
Yes, I offer a life time warranty that covers any repairment, as long as you don’t abuse or disassemble the machine or use it not properly. The only parts not covered by the warranty are the springs and capacitor, after a few months of use. If a spring breaks after some days or weeks of use, I’ll replace them for free. My machines are fully tested and perfectly adjusted before shipping them, so i’m sure you’ll have no problem at all with them. Anyway, I offer the warranty for your satisfaction. The warranty also cover shipping costs in case you have to send it back to me.
Yes, I ship worldwide. I ship them first class air mail, registered, with tracking number. An insurance for the full price of the machine is available for an extra price, that will cover any incidence. I can also ship with a courier, if you want a faster option.
Sorry, no refunds. If you don’t like the machine when I show it to you after finishing it, just tell me and I’ll make any coherent change until it is what you want. We will agree about every aspect BEFORE I start building it (see FAQ#3). Once you confirm you like the finished product and it’s shipped, it won’t be refunded.
Please read carefully: what I want is selling my machines to people who care about what they’re doing, who work clean and follow sanitary rules and are aware of cross contamination and other aspects about safety when tattooing. People who respect their clients and try to do things right, not scratching someone’s skin or tattooing designs they are not prepared to execute. For this reason, I may make some exceptions and sell machines to people following an apprenticeship, or people learning on their own, as long as they can prove me a few things. I always say there are a lot of beginners who know how to do things and respect tattooing and deserve to own a good machine, and a lot of “professionals” working at big shops who don’t give a fuck about their clients or safe sanitary procedures, who don’t deserve to handle one of my machines at all. If you are not working professionally, be prepared to show a portfolio with LOTS of your drawings, and be ready to answer some questions.
Yes, I also make handpoking tools, very useful if you like hand poke tattooing as they are compatible with standard needles and tubes, just like using a regular coil machine. Their weight also helps not having to push that much, you can take advantage of it instead of using a simple needle that’s so light weight. They are really cool, too! 😉
As with regular coil machines, I can make them the way you like, with different materials and decoration – wood, bone, exotic metals, engravings… Prices for handpoking tools start at 120 euros, please contact me if you are interested in one of these and we’ll think of a nice design for it!
Definitely not. Sorry, I don’t like rotaries, they have no soul for me, and there’s nothing like the way a coil machine hits.
I can build a similar one, or in the same style, but sorry, I don’t build exact replicas of past builds. All my machines are one-offs, custom requests, and I never repeat them (unless it’s for the same customer). No problem if the model is a classic (Rogers, Bulldog, etc…), I can build another one with different decoration or finish, but I won’t repeat very specific designs. It’s not respectful to the original customer, and why not building a unique, special one for you? That’s much better!!
No, I just sell entire machines. Sorry, but I’ve got enough requests to keep me very busy, and I prefer to dedicate time to build them.
Sorry, I don’t. I’d suggest, if you have a problem with a machine, to ask the one who built it. If that person is a professional, you should have a warranty in case the machine you received is not working properly, or something is not ok with it. If your machine is not correctly built, please understand I don’t want to mess with it. I had a few not very pleasant experiences in the past, when I accepted to rebuild some machines that had serious issues, like wrong geometry, poor construction, or when low quality materials were used on the frame. It’s not something I can fix with just a new set of coils, armature bar or respringing, and in some cases they needed a huge lot of work on them or were not worth the job, and I don’t want to work on a machine knowing that the result will be mediocre. I could make an exception, if you want me to rebuild a vintage or special machine. If that’s the case, please contact me about it to check if something can be done.
